Coponti is an addon for IPCop ( http://www.ipcop.org/ ). Coponti is the abbreviation of "IPCop online timer". With Coponti you can keep track of your online time. So this addon is primarily useful for users without flatrate.
Coponti works with both DSL and ISDN connections. It should work with modem connectiosn as well (untested).
Coponti analyzes the system log file once per hour. Each connection/disconnection is written to an internal log file. On the GUI you see an overview of each month. If you click on the name of a month, Coponti shows you a summary of the days.
After downloading the addon (in the download section, it's a file like "coponti_VERSION.tar.gz") copy it to the IPCop machine.
Unpack the archive with "tar xzf coponti_VERSION.tar.gz".
Go to the folder: "cd coponti_VERSION".
Install with "./install".
After a successful install the folder may be removed.
Just run the uninstaller: "/var/ipcop/coponti/uninstall".
If you update to a newer version all old files will automatically be removed beforehand.

Detailed analysis of connections: the online time is now calculated in total and separately for all profiles (Thanks to mikohach for the idea and patient testing).
The online time is now shown as a bar graph.

Analysis of connection data was improved. Negative times won't show up anymore.
Critical error removed: the log filesystem on a system that was modified with mkflash was destroyed upon installation.
